The Walking Dead has released a first look photo of its upcoming fourth season.
The image features Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes with an ominous figure standing behind him in the woods.
First-look at season 4 of The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead‘s producer Gale Anne Hurd previously claimed that the fourth season will become “more complicated”.
She explained: “The world is certainly no safer [next season]. In fact, it becomes a lot more complicated.
“I think that our band of survivors might have become a little too complacent about the threat that the walkers pose. They’re a very serious threat. I think the complacency towards walkers has probably run its course.”
In April, The Walking Dead wrapped its third season, killing major characters from the story.
The fourth season will premiere in October on AMC. The show airs on FOX in the UK.
